Next to that some additional rules are counting:
-Players that have played in the youth competition season 2016-2017 must select the age category of which they have played in the competition.
-Competition players that reached a score in their singles above 60% must select one age category higher than they have played in the competition. (check your statistics at toernooi.nl)
-Players that have played in season 2016-2017 in the seniors competition (not higher than 6th class regional) must select the U17 category.
Sign in at a higher level is always allowed.
Doubles must select the category of the player at the highest level.
All categories will use nylon shuttles. The nylon shuttles are provided by the organization.
At U-17 could be proposed to play with feather shuttles. Only if both parties agree with this proposal the match could be played with feather shuttles. The proposer must provide the feather shuttles if the opponent(s) don't have them available.
How will the tournament be played?
You can sign in for maximal two parts: Single and/or Doubles. It is not allowed to play the same part in different age groups (e.g. Doubles U15 and U17). You wil play with your own partner if you have one, else with a partner that will be linked to you by the organization if you don't have one (fill in ‘wanted’ at registration). In every part you will play 3 to 4 matches. On Saturday September 17 the time schedule is from 9.00 hour in the morning till about half past 6 in the evening (18.30 hr)!
In the Swiss Ladder system each match consists of TWO games (according to the regular point system including extension till max 30 points). So it is possible the the match ends in a draw. But the system takes care with this and it will be included in the new ranking. The matches thus will be about of the same duration. So, we can play more rounds and everybody will have the same number of matches (except if a final is required).
